Because there is no 24k gold or platinum, this one is a little less expensive than the others. makes a great platter for a Thanksgiving turkey, and can hang on the wall (without the bird, of course).
Funny how what you set out for and what you end up with can be so different. When I was first designing this pattern, I was looking for a wood grain. I took sawed branches of different sizes and stamped it in the clay, but unfortunately, when you saw wood, there is no texture! I ended up with a bowl with flat disks. I then made 4 different stamps of different sizes in clay, where I carved linear textures. It no longer reads as wood, but I like it none the less!
