Agate imported from the remote caves of…..no, just kidding; The Michael Wainwright USA Borealis collection is actually clay with a really cool crystal glaze, finished with 24k gold or platinum, and handmade in Western Massachusetts by Michael himself.
This small art vase can hang on a wall as a sconce, or sit on a table, but because of the nature of this glaze,the back is not decorated. So, if you are planning on using this on a table, only three sides should be visible. It does hold water and can be used for flowers.
This small vase is a one of a kind. I may make others, but the shape and crystallization will be different.
